Laguna Phuket Golf Club has won a string of awards for its resort facilities, its club house and its golf course. Formerly the Banyan Tree Golf Club Phuket, recent renovations and innovative design work by Max Wexler and David Abell have transformed the resort into a first-rate golfing experience capable of challenging every golfer.
Rebuilding of the greens have made them truer and faster and have added a new spice to the short game play. The tactical placing of additional sand and water hazards force players to make accurate shots, testing the iron play of golfers of all abilities.
The rolling fairways of this 18 hole, par 71 course gently wind their way through groves of coconut palms reflected in the deceptively tranquil lagoons; with water featuring on 13 holes, an errant shot can be severely punished. For those who like a gamble, there are a few chances for you to test your long drives and cut a few corners, offering you more time to gaze at the panoramic views of the lush, green hills opening out to the Andaman Sea.
